Wish bracelet

Elisabeth gave me a "Wish bracelet" back in late July.  She said her Aunt Erin taught her how to make it;  You are supposed to make a wish when you tie it on your wrist, and when it eventually falls off, your wish will come true. To humor her, I closed my eyes and made a brief wish and then I tied it on, wearing it ever since.

Over the past few weeks it was getting ragged and this morning, it actually came off!  Then Rich called me to let me know his interviews in Denver went well and that they will be sending him an offer for the job!!

Needless to say, you can guess what I wished for... since it came true :)   Way to go Rich!! :)

L -"There are some girls at school that like me."

G- "Yeah, I know, I heard."

L- "They said I have nice eyes, and that my cheeks are like baby cheeks."

G- "That's funny... 'cause it's true!"

Words of Wisdom

Sorry for the stale blog everyone. Life has been busy but occasionally, something is said that just has to be written down for future reference. This one will come in handy in about, say... 6-8 years?

My daughter informed me yesterday that she will never get married. I asked why and she responded that she never wants to kiss anyone. And if she does, she will always wipe them off...and staple their lips together.. and superglue them too...

Samuel's Baby Blessing

Because of the very rare "white" Christmas, church was canceled. We were able to bless baby Samuel in my parent's home instead. It was a unique experience.
